Specification for Drip Funnels & Catch Containments

The containments in this specification are used to catch, control and temporarily store and/or transfer contaminated liquids. The following nominal characteristics are common to all CTL liquid containments.

Material:
The containments are fabricated from either .006" - .010" polyurethane or .008" - .012" PVC. The colors available are clear, yellow, green or a combination of the above.

Design:
Drip funnels ("pocket" or "bag") are funnel shaped containers with a metal or plastic support ring sealed in the rim to hold the top open. They have a 2" - 3" diameter flat bottom to allow for attachment of drain fittings. Plastic grommets are installed below the support ring to allow for hanging in place. Catch containments are flat bottomed cylindrical-shaped containers with a metal or plastic support ring sealed in the rim to hold the top open. Plastic grommets are installed below the support ring to allow for hanging in place.

Options:
Hang Loops can be installed to hang the containers in place of the grommets. Drain fittings can be installed to allow for draining of the liquids to a collection device. These can be thermally sealed to the drip funnels or a universal drain fitting may be mechanically installed. Drain tubing can be attached to the drain fittings. This is normally a 1/2" I.D. plastic tubing. Tube clamps are available to stop liquid flow through the tubing.

Sizes:
Many sizes are available for all containments ranging from 4" to 48". The catch containments are normally 9" deep and the depth of the drip funnels varies with the diameter of the funnel.
