Specification for Latex Shoecovers
The latex shoecovers in this specification are used to control the spread of radioactive contamination. The following nominal characteristics are common to all CTL latex shoecovers.
Material: The shoecovers are slush molded 99% Natural Latex rubber with a minimum of 1% process aids. They are case-hardened using a chlorinating process with the residual chlorine removed. The color of the natural rubber compound is yellow.
Marking: The shoecovers are marked by raised bars across the instep and letters on the sole to indicate size.
Design: Shoecovers are high vamp style, one-piece seamless (slush molded) construction, no left or right and have a non-skid sole design imparted by the mold.
